HCDoc

It's only taken us 2 years, but the HCDoc website is finally online!!

We have chosen to use the Joomla content management system for the following reasons:

• The system meets our need to publish dynamic content easily.
• Its Open Source.
• We like the price.
• It runs on Linux.
• We can change the look and feel easily.
• Did I mention that we like the price?

Now we have a content management system, we can keep you up to date on the products we are working on, the new technologies we are working with and the delivery methods used to produce your documentation.

The size and complexity of the projects we work on has grows with our client base. To handle this HCDoc has adopted the activeCollab groupware. Installing is easy, setting up client information is a fairly long manual process but again, we felt no pain. We have run the first projects using the activeCollab and our clients are very happy to have a more efficient process. We like having a trace of all our projects. Most importantly we can now work from anywhere in the world that has an internet connection. We have clients in 2 different continents and 4 different countries; mobility is essential and activeCollab makes us even more productive.

HCDoc offers a specialized technical documentation service where our writers
understand your technology just as well as you do.

We have several years experience producing developer guides, API
documentation, samples and tutorials for Java, J2EE, web services, C++, .Net
and more. We also write system installation and configuration documentation.

Most importantly, our writers all come from highly technical backgrounds and
have worked as programmers across a range of platforms – Windows, Linux,
UNIX (HP-UX, AIX and Solaris).

This is what allows HCDoc to understand exactly what is required of good
programming documentation – we have all been (and still are) regular users
of it ourselves.
